A warm welcome (back) to Reno

Sunday, August 24th, 2008

After five years in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, I returned to the Truckee Meadows late last month under signature blue skies and hot sun. Reno has grown exponentially while I was away — more rambling ranchettes here, more upscale nightlife there — and yet its fundamental character as a shimmering, colorful outpost on the edge of the Great Basin hasn’t changed. I fell in love all over again.

I’m glad to be back, within just a few days I felt as at home as if I’d never left, and I look forward to rediscovering everything I loved about this area and sampling all the cool, new things that have sprouted here over the last five years. I can’t wait, too, to reconnect with old clients and friends and to settle into the ever-growing creative community here, so if you’re reading from the greater Reno/Tahoe area, why not send a note and introduce yourself? I’d love to hear from you.

Out-of-area folks, worry not — I’m still working with great clients on projects across the country. And you’ve been looking for a good excuse to come to Reno/Tahoe, anyway, yes?
