tagline & identity development

I created “You don't list houses. You sell lifestyles.” to strike a chord with agents who market themselves as unique, high-end sales professionals with true marketing savvy. The message hits agents in the same place they hope their own marketing hits their potential clients: in the emotional core of self-perception.
introductions
An early obsession with the role of language in productive conversations lured me into professional communications 17 years ago. The power and magic of a well-communicated idea has kept me here.I help my clients move ideas and information forward, intact, to their ultimate purpose – be it legal resolve, boosts in sales or readership, investor buy-in, member loyalty, employee retention, and most everything else that can be achieved at the confluence of solid language strategy, clear copy and great storytelling.
In editorial circles, I’ve published features and commentary on the myriad people, places and ideas I find exciting. I make generous and intelligent use of social media, and I blog regularly about business, communications, relationships, lifestyle, travel and adventure.
I can also design effective forms, plans and processes like nobody’s business.

Legal-ese not as easy as you’d hoped?
Legal documents are necessary to protect both you and your customers, but they can quickly become intimidating to read and digest reducing the likelihood that readers will get through them. Even if your document offers protection from liability, the resources you’ll spend on inquiries, conflicts and even lawsuits resulting from misunderstood contractual terms can be costly. I can work closely with your legal team to make sure everything you have to say is said in a way that’s easy for your customers to read and understand.
A warm welcome (back) to Reno
After five years in northern New Mexico and southern Colorado, I returned to the Truckee Meadows late last month under signature blue skies and hot sun. Reno has grown exponentially while I was away — more rambling ranchettes here, more upscale nightlife there — and yet its fundamental character as a shimmering, colorful outpost on the edge of the Great Basin hasn’t changed. I fell in love all over again.
